Current Research
Dr Hedbergs research is primarily concerning outcomes an complications after Metabolic and Bariatric surgery. She has a specialized interest in registry based research and does research in collaboration with SOReg (Scandinavian Obesity Surgery Registry), and is also a member of SOReg's steering committee.
BEST -Bypass Equipoise Sleeve Trial is a registru based Swedish-Norweigan RCT comparing the two most common procedures in Metabolic and Bariatric surgery. She is a active member of BEST steering committee, since 2023 it's vice chairperson, and is also the local PI for Gothenburg.
