Centre for Ethics, Law and Mental Health - CELAM
CELAM was founded in January 2012. The goal of CELAM is to start and support research about mental disorders, aggressive antisocial behaviour and moral and legal responsibility in a inter-disciplinary framework. CELAM is a formalisation of a previous on-going research collaboration between the Research Group of Forensic Psychiatry, University of Gothenburg, the Research Group of Forensic Psychiatry, Lund University and a group of researchers in Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science, University of Gothenburg. The aim of CELAM is to run a national centre of excellence for research about mental illness among young violent offenders, to pursue research of high quality in this area and educate personnel who can meet the relevant societal organisations’ demands for scientific and clinical knowledge.
