About Medical Radiation Science
Research in the field of medical radiation science is conducted within most branches of radiophysics, such as dosimetry, detectors and measurement techniques, radiobiology, and radiation protection; as well as applications in radioecology, radiation protection preparedness, nuclear medicine (diagnostics and therapy), X-rays, MRIs, and radiation therapy (external and brachytherapy).
Our educational programs are designed for those curious about radiation and seeking more information, as well as for those considering pursuing a degree in radiophysics. For those interested in working with radiophysics in healthcare, there is an educational program that offers the opportunity to become a certified hospital physicist.
