The research within the center is conducted in two major areas, Prehospital care in complex injury areas and Traumatology. Each area has R&D projects and training courses linked to it.
Disaster medicine is the science of analysis and method development for healthcare when the available resources are not sufficient for emergency care. Disaster medicine covers the entire national crisis and disaster management cycle and includes the management and organization of public health responses to disasters and major events, including the special medical needs of a community in the event of a disaster.
