The ISP system
The ISP system is a web-based system support for managing doctoral students' individual study plans.
Login for external users
External users are, for example, supervisors at other universities or organisations. Applicants to the doctoral program at Sahlgrenska Academy who work with the first version of the ISP also log in here. Login is done with a specific ISP password.

Login for internal users
Internal users are mainly employees at the University of Gothenburg and admitted doctoral students. An x-account is required to be added as an internal user in the system. Login is done with x-account and associated password.
About ISP and the ISP system
An individual study plan (ISP) must be created for each doctoral student. The study plan shall function as a governing instrument for the entire education and ensure that the education is conducted and followed up effectively.
The ISP system is a web-based system support for managing doctoral students' individual study plans.
Principal supervisor creates the ISP and the study plan is approved by the doctoral student, principal supervisor, doctoral examiner and establisher. At Sahlgrenska Academy, the study plan is also approved by the faculty administrator. The study plan must be revised at least once a year.
Assistant supervisors get access to read the study plan after they have been added to the study plan by the principal supervisor or doctoral student.
Doctoral student - handling the study plan
Your individual study plan is an agreement between you and the university about the content of your doctoral education. The individual study plan shall include both the university’s and your commitments as a doctoral student.
It is the principal supervisor who creates the study plan. Once it is created, you will receive an automatic email notification that the study plan has been created and is available. The principal supervisor therefore does not need to notify you separately that you have access to the study plan. After the study plan is created, it is available for editing by both you and your principal supervisor.
Next to the study plan, you will find the Select action button with options for managing the study plan. After the study plan is created, you can choose between editing or viewing the study plan as a PDF.
