Book Launch of Drone Vision: Warfare, Surveillance, Protest
Edited by: Sarah Tuck
, Art and Theory Publishing, Hasselblad Foundation

Published by Art &Theory Drone Vision documents and reflects on the two-year curatorial research process supported by the Hasselblad Foundation and HDK-Valand.

The book addresses questions of how visibility and verticality are intrinsic to drone technology and its meanings for artistic and political praxis. It explores the affective meanings of drone technologies on photography and human rights.

The book launch is a mix of in person discussion with artist Behjat Omer Abdulla and contributor Dr Daniel Jewesbury, as well as contributions via zoom of artists Mhairi Sutherland, Salman Mehsood Khan and Efi Savvides from the three Drone Vision exhibitions in Gothenburg, Lahore and Nicosia.

The event commences at 16.00 in Bio Valand. Refreshments will be available after the event at 18.00 in Glashuset.
