In this presentation, I will present some specific characteristics that define the Cypriot Maronite Arabic lexical system, including some results from two previous works in the context of my master’s degree in linguistics at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations in Paris. The first focused on borrowings in Cypriot Maronite Arabic (2020) and the second on effects of language contact bilingualism and suppletion. Also, I will present some perspectives that I will try to investigate through my PhD study, oriented on an interactional and computational perspective.
