Campus Steneby's Spring Exhibition 2024 features works by 22 graduating students who come together as individuals and form a group. Thematically, subjects emerge in relation to questions of the presence or absence of the collective, mobility, muteness, acts of tenderness, deformation, design history, weightlessness, surrealist experiences and the presence of demons. Alongside these words, it is important to emphasise that the works on display are made by hands and minds, in a process of repetition required to master a material (...) The form of the exhibition has been created in a short period of time where students have been asked to focus on each other's work rather than their own. The focus of the dialogue has been to listen and to leave one's process to take in the thoughts and visions of a fellow student. The goal has been to create a group where knowledge of each other's work is important for the exhibition.

About Campus Steneby
Campus Steneby is a unique environment for education and research in crafts and design at HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg. The site is nestled among the lakes and forests of Dalsland, midway between Gothenburg and Oslo. Campus Steneby is an international community for creators, artists and designers with access to world-class facilities. Within our programmes, we want to develop knowledge of heritage and traditions to push the boundaries of material-based crafts and design. With a strong focus on artistic exploration and design methods, we give students the tools to apply their skills in new contexts and in a rapidly changing world.
*The Textile-Body-Space programme is dormant and will be replaced by a new bachelor's programme from 2025 and a new master's programme from 2026.
