Towards Spectroscopy of Chiral Molecules at High and Fluctuating Event Rates with Parametric Cumulant Mapping

Abstract

Inferring correlations between measured signals is essential in experimental atomic, molecular, and optical physics. In this half-time seminar, I will present a new method called parametric cumulant mapping, which can be used to investigate correlations between reaction products in spectroscopic studies. The future goal of parametric cumulant mapping is to support experiments studying biomolecular chirality with Free-Electron-Lasers (FELs), where the laser-light fluctuations are a major challenge.
