Half time seminar: "What drives Arctic plant phenology to change?"

Focus for Geerte’s PhD-project is how plant phenology in Arctic is affected by global changes. At the halftime seminar she will present from several extensive studies to investigate the connection between variation in plant phenology to their microclimate and extreme weather events, across several Arctic study sites.

Opponent at the seminar is Lasse Tarvainen, and examiner is Annemieke Reurslag Gärdenäs, Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences. Geerte’s main supervisor is Anne Bjorkman (BioEnv) with Mats Björkman (BioEnv) and Isla Myers-Smith (UBC) as co-supervisors.
