Students from the Master's program in Crafts at HDK-Valand invite you to the group exhibition ‘We Did Not Playtest this Show’, where visitors can try out different textile and clay craft techniques during two workshops.

Alumni students from HDK-Valand's Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Applied Arts and Design invite you to an exhibition where different materials, craft techniques and attitudes to creation meet.

Alumni students from HDK-Valand's Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Applied Arts and Design invite you to the exhibition ‘We Disloyal Few’. The exhibition is a satellite to the exhibition at Sergelgången 29, where the small objects can take place and shine.

Bombyx Mori – Toolness of the Loom 

Location: Repslagargatan 15 A, Stockholm

Welcome to an exhibition with Tobias Birgersson, Programme Supervisor and Senior Lecturer at the Design and Crafts Steneby Unit, where focus is placed on the historical techniques and materials of silk weaving.

RE-bound

Location: Svartmangatan 21, Stockholm

Sigge Nilsson, a student in the Master's Programme in Applied Arts and Design with a specialization in metal art, participates in and curates the exhibition 'RE-bound'. The exhibition stems from the participants' time together at Leksand's folkhögskola and their reunion related to the exhibition 

Ollios Tuftade Mattor

Location: Bailey Gallery Showroom, Hornsgatan 29, Stockholm 

Vernissage: 3 October, 17.00-20.00

Alumni Jonathan Ollio Josefsson graduated with a master's degree in Textile Art from HDK-Valand in 2007. His exhibition features some of his latest tufted wool rugs.

Utanför Trygga Rum 

Location: Köpmanbrinken 8, Stockholm 

Vernissage: 2 oktober, kl. 17.00-19.00 

Opening hours: 2–4 October 13.00–19.00, 5–6 October 12.00–17.00

Through a range of different materials, expressions and techniques, the art collective Konstpiration interprets their experiences of entering working life as a newly graduated artist in this exhibition. The art collective Konstspiration consists of six artists who met during their studies on the Bachelor's programme in Jewellery Art at HDK-Valand.

Mörkret Vandrar 

Location: Bellmansgatan 26, Stockholm 

Vernissage: 2 October, 17.00–19.00 

Date: 2–6 October 

Time: 12.00–17.00 

‘Mörkret’ is the name of a group of material-based artists, several of whom are alumni from HDK-Valand, who live and work in Dals Långed. The group has existed since 2023 and functions as a collegial network and initiator of exhibitions and events.

Artist and Book Talk with Lillemor Pettersson 

Location: Konst-ig, Åsögatan 124 A, Stockholm 

Date: 3 October  

Time: 17.30–19.00 

Lillemor Pettersson graduated from HDK-Valand in 1957 and is now a ceramicist and sculptor with an artistic career spanning eight decades. The artist and book talk is conducted by Lillemor Pettersson together with editor and jewellery artist Mona Wallström from Konstepidemin Publishing House.
