Higher seminar: Exploring cross-disciplinary perspectives on the study of heritage

We are very happy to announce that this seminar, originally planned for October, will now take place in early December. Our guest researchers Marzia Varutti and Geoffrey Gowlland are inviting us to discuss cross-disciplinary perspectives on the study of heritage.

The overarching goal of the seminar is to collaboratively explore how we can work together, across the different disciplines and research foci represented at the Institutionen för Kulturvård, in view to develop a holistic approach to heritage that embraces and valorises the richness and variety of individual approaches, disciplines, and research interests. If there are grounds and interest, this might lead to the development of a joint project proposal.

What is at stake: a richer, holistic understanding of heritage may contribute to enhance the ability of heritage to perform socially relevant tasks such as promoting more sustainable, inclusive and just societies.
