Focus for Hampus's PhD-project is on how and why trees in tropical montane rainforests, which are  considered biodiversity hotspots, react to changes in their environment, with the aim of disentangling the complex nature of these questions to better understand what will happen in the future and what can be done now.
His main supervisor is Johan Uddling and  examiner is Adrian Clarke, Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences.  Co-supervisors are  Göran Wallin and Anne Bjorkman (BioEnv) and Daniel Metcalfe (Umeå University).
