What took place in the first weeks following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022? This autumn's exhibition at the Social Sciences Library at Vasagatan is based on Gregg Bucken-Knapp's and Estonian cartoonist Joonas Sildre's joint book ‘Messages from Ukraine’.

Gregg Bucken-Knapp is a professor in public administration and together with the Estonian cartoonist Joonas Sildre have made Messages for Ukraine, a graphic novel focusing on the first dramatic weeks of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The book is based on text messages from fifteen Ukrainians who are migration and integration professionals.

Opening event on 24 October at 12:00

At the opening, we will be joined by Gregg Bucken-Knapp himself and Lisa Churkina, one of the young officials from Ukraine who contributed to the book. Welcome!
