PICNIC of DIRECTIONS
Visitors will gain an insight into the 34 design students' individual experimentation and research carried out in order to find a direction for their future graduation exhibition. No finished design proposals are shown here, but instead an insight is given into the research carried out by the students and excerpts from early sketching processes.
Everything from material tests and form studies to early prototypes and models of spatial design, illustration, pattern, graphic design and visual communication, product and furniture design will be shown. Exploratory work is shown on how different tools and methods can be used - both in analogue and digital format. Issues that have been addressed through designing, materializing and visualizing touch on all possible social and ethical perspectives relevant to the contemporary design field.
The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for visitors to see the process behind a part of what will be shown during the design programmes graduation exhibitions, later this year.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration with HDK-Valand and Svensk Form Väst.
