This seminar presents a case study of two lead teachers of EFL and some of their students in a large urban multilingual school in Sweden. The study maps language practices, beliefs and discourses in classes in school years 7 and 8 with the aim of understanding the need for and nature of ttranslanguaging space(s) serving to facilitate student learning and well-being in the classroom.
