Linguistic Structures
Linguistic structures refer to grammar in a broad sense, i.e. phonology, lexicology and morphosyntax. The research area benefits from the Department’s collective language expertise and is home to research projects that deal with European, Asian and African languages, including endangered and less explored languages.
This research area gathers PhD students, teaching staff and researchers with a focus on linguistics and a research interest in linguistic structures.

Every year, we arrange the Grammar Festival – one whole day of exciting lectures on languages and grammar for anybody who works with or is interested in grammar. The Grammar Festival is part of the international Grammar day.
