Centre for Lifestyle Intervention
Welcome to the Centre for Lifestyle Intervention! We study changes in lifestyle and develop new personalised methods for lifestyle changes. The centre is a collaboration between Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the Institute of Medicine.
Better understanding of lifestyle changes
Our vision is to address perhaps the greatest challenge facing the health and medical care system – growing lifestyle-related ill-health. Each year, thousands of Swedes die of diseases that could have been avoided with a healthier lifestyle. Sedentary habits, unhealthy diet and tobacco use are some of the reasons why more and more Swedes risk developing lifestyle-related illnesses like cardiovascular diseases, cancer and type-2 diabetes.
