12. Impact of COVID-19 in

Religious Communities, Societies and Everyday Experiences.

The global COVID-19 pandemic has affected societies, religious communities, and everyday life of individuals. Recently many studies have been published in theology and religious sciences concerning virtual services, online sacraments and gatherings, as well as well-being and ill-being of individuals during the pandemic era.

In this session, we are calling for papers focusing on influences of COVID-19 in everyday life as well as in religious communities and societies. We welcome contributions considering different phases of the pandemic. We would especially like to see papers that theorises about the post-pandemic future for religion.

The session is open for papers of theology, religious studies and other disciplinaries. The session is organized by network of Finnish researchers studying COVID-19 issues.
