About us

At the University of Gothenburg, IPS (Institutionen för pedagogik och specialpedagogik) is responsible for developing the test in social studies.

Many different groups of stakeholders are involved in this work. Teachers, researchers, teacher educators and students all participate in various ways in preparing and testing questions for the exam. We also collaborate and network with other institutions that are involved in similar projects.

We will continuously publish information about the national subject test in social sciences for year 9 on this website. Currently our main focus is on the upcoming digital national tests that will be introduced in schools in the years to come. At the bottom of the page you will find a link to the National Agency for Education where you can read more.

We are always interested in getting in touch with teachers and schools in our work with social studies and assessment.
