Political Scientist Linda Berg shares her experience on the elections.
Every fifth year the spring is extra hectic for Linda Berg, researcher in the CERGU network. Her research focus is on voter behaviour in European Parliament elections, and she receives many requests for lectures, panel participation, and offering expert commentary in the media. This spring was no exception! She had the good fortune of working with the talented interns at the National Election Studies Program during the spring. The interns wrote many fact sheets about the elections, held lectures and visited area schools and libraries to disseminate information about the upcoming elections. The week before the elections, Linda's phone rang around the clock. Finally, on June 9th, election day, Linda participated in the election coverage on Radio Sweden (Sveriges Radio Ekots EU-valvaka.) The coverage was led by Johar Bendjelloul and Parisa Höglund, together with the journalists Fredrik Furtenbach, Caroline Salzinger, and Susanne Palme.
