Chemistry – A European Journal is the flagship journal of Chemistry Europe, an association of 16 chemical societies from 15 European countries. It publishes a family of 17 high-quality scholarly chemistry journals, covering a broad range of disciplines, and the magazine ChemistryViews.
In order to give emerging young researchers a stronger voice, the journal has created an Early Career Advisory Board. The editors of the journal have nominated the twelve young scientists joining the new board, among which is Alesia Tietze, who joined UGOT 1,5 years ago as the WCMTM fellow and Associate Senior Lecturer in Medicinal Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology.
About Alesia Tietze Group
Dr. Alesia A. Tietze, Assosiate Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in medicinal chemistry with focus on total synthesis of bioactive peptides, i.e. cysteine-rich peptides, which are derived from biologically active natural sources (i.e. cone snails, spiders, snakes), their targets (membrane proteins) and their structural analogues as well as engineering of bioispired materiales based on functional peptides/proteins and artificial carriers (i.e. nanopores, polymers).
