Currently, the KVA hold approximately 480 Swedish members and 175 foreign members, divided into 10 scientific areas. Bernhard Mehlig will join the Class for Physics.
Machine Learning and Turbulent Clouds

"Bernhard Mehlig is a professor of complex systems at the University of Gothenburg. His research involves describing the dynamics in complex systems. The span of his research area is extensive and includes the study of how small water droplets are tossed around in turbulent clouds and grow or shrink in size.

Bernhard Mehlig is originally from Germany and has collaborated with both Swedish and foreign experimentalists, including physicists, but also marine biologists. Since the early 2000s, he has been teaching machine learning at the University of Gothenburg, a subject that has garnered growing interest in recent years."
