Do you want to help us design a national online hub for patient and public involvement (PPI) in research and innovation?

Published

Welcome to one of our workshops (21/10 online, 4/11 in Stockholm or 12/11 in Gothenburg)!

Vision

We want to build a prototype for an online platform that will help people with chronic health conditions, their next-of-kin and the public to get in touch with researchers to participate in the design of research or innovation projects (not as a passive participant in a study or trial but as an active co-creator). On the other hand, it should also be easier for professionals (e.g. researchers, innovators and healthcare managers) to find people with lived experience for various activities and projects.

We will organize three similar workshops:

  • 21 October 2024, online (9:30-11:30 and 13-14:00)
  • 4 November 2024, Stockholm, World Trade Center (9:30-14:30, inkl. lunch & fika, max. 50 participants)
  • 12 November 2024, Gothenburg, United Spaces Lindholmen (9:30-14:30, inkl. lunch & fika, max. 40 participants)
  • If you cannot attend one of our workshops, there are also other ways for you to contribute.  Please use the registration form and choose the option: Contact me for an alternative way of participation.

 We welcome:

  • people with lived experience and relatives,
  • representatives from non-profit interest organisations,
  • researchers,
  • innovators,
  • professionals who work with healthcare development,
  • representatives from funding agencies

Registration

Register for one of our workshops via this form!
(In the event of an urgent matter that prevents your attendance at one of the physical workshops, please notify the organizers at your earliest opportunity to free up space for other participants.)

The aim of the workshops is:

  •  to better understand the needs of different parties in an online PAM platform
  •  to better understand functions that would be needed in an online PAM platform
  •  find partners on the way forward

We will provide you with more information and a detailed workshop agenda ca. 1 week before the event.

These workshops are financed by The University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-Centred Care (GPCC).
