Good rating for artistic programmes

As part of the quality work at the department, twelve artistic bachelor's and master's programmes at the Academy of Music and Drama have undergone external review during 2023-2024. A total of five assessment groups have taken part in the structure and form of the programmes, including through site visits.

How did the review work?

Each assessment group consisted of two to three people from other higher education institutions and from the relevant artistic fields, as well as a student representative. The reviewers were provided with information about the programmes, such as policy documents and texts describing the programmes. They also conducted site visits to meet with teachers, students, alumni and management, and looked at facilities, study environments and equipment.

What do the results show?

The programmes at the Academy of Music and Drama work very well. Students are very satisfied with their education and not least with their teachers.

"We interpret this to mean that our programmes are relevant and of high quality. The review also points to some things that can be developed, where we can become even better," says Jesper Lundgren, Head of Department at the Academy of Music and Drama.
