New research centre to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship
Innovation and Entrepreneurship are important parts of socio-economic growth and to reach societal goals. To strengthen research in the area, the University of Gothenburg is starting a new centre for knowledge-intensive innovation ecosystems.
U-GOT KIES has three overarching goals:
- Stimulate world-class research on knowledge-intensive innovation ecosystems
- Influence the content of postgraduate education in innovation and entrepreneurship
- Contribute to societal development and have a broad dialogue with society about the connection between innovations, knowledge and positive societal development.
Different disciplines that are included in the center formation are for example: Economics, Political Science, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Industrial Technology and Management.
The steering committee
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Gothenburg has appointed ten researchers, who are active both at GU and internationally, to be part of the steering committee.
