Peab has been commissioned to complete the construction of the new building for the School of Business, Economics and Law.
In january, the previous main contractor Serneke filed for bankruptcy. This led to all ongoing production being stopped. Peab has now been awarded the assignment to complete the new building. This after Akademiska Hus carried out a public procurement. The contract is worth SEK 350 million.
"We look forward to starting this project together with Akademiska Hus. Since the school will run parallel to our work, we’ll have to deal with logistic challenges that put high demands on us as the contractor. Our experience of similar inner city projects will be valuable to this project," says Stellan Haraldsson, Region Manager Peab, in a pressrelease.
Work will begin immediately and the goal is for the project to be completed in 2027.
