"Per Cramér has been a fantastic driving force for the School of Business, Economics and Law. His leadership, commitment to quality and focus on internationalisation and collaboration with society have laid a lasting foundation for the continued development of our activities. He has tackled a wide range of challenging tasks with dedication and enthusiasm, and many of us are deeply grateful for everything he has done for our school," says current Dean Måns Söderbom.
Per Cramér took office as Dean of the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg in 2010 and left the position at the end of June 2024 when his term ended. Under his leadership, the School has focused on quality and relevance in education and research, strengthened relationships with the business community and the public sector, and increased the number of international collaborations and students. Sustainability has been integrated into the programmes and the School has received all three of the most prestigious international accreditations for business schools, becoming "Triple Crown" accredited. During Per Cramér's tenure, the balance between research and teaching has improved and the proportion of external research grants and donations has increased. The construction of a new building for the school was also initiated during his time.
Per Cramér receives the Pro Studio et Scientia award in 2024 with the following justification:
For having worked with sensitivity and great commitment over many years to make the School of Business, Economics and Law a strong, contemporary academy through quality development, internationalisation and cooperation with the surrounding society.
"I am personally very proud to be recognised in such a great way. I would also like to emphasise that it is a reward for all the staff who have worked together to develop the School of Business, Economics and Law into an increasingly strong academy with international reach," says Per Cramér.
