Short description

Åsa Mellgren’s group researches HIV with a focus on women. The research includes studies during pregnancy and breastfeeding, registry studies of treatment outcomes with antiretroviral therapy, bone health in postmenopausal women, and prospective clinical studies to investigate factors that affect treatment outcomes. The aim is to conduct research in important areas for women where more scientific evidence is needed to provide the best care and treatment for women with HIV.
