Developmental psychology (GRID)
Short description
The Gothenburg group for Research In Developmental psychology (GRID) is a research unit within the field of developmental psychology. The research conducted within the unit revolves around different aspects of human development in context.
Our research often concern youth development, but we are interested in human development across large parts of the lifespan. Some of the issues that are investigated by the members are identity, personality development, body image, parenthood, relationships, bullying.
The contexts individuals participate are central in our research, as an example several of our studies have focused on the importance of social media for development. Several of the studies conducted by researchers in GRID are longitudinal where we have followed the same individuals from childhood to adulthood.
