Enabling a self-determined oriented approach for healthcare professionals working with cognitively affected older people

The overall aim of this project is to explore and deepen the knowledge of different healthcare professionals’ views of self-determination in cognitively affected older people to enable for a self-determined oriented approach within health- and social care. During 2022, the focus group method was used to explore and deepen the knowledge of different healthcare professionals’ views of self-determination when working with cognitively affected older people. The results hopefully will contribute with new and important knowledge regarding possibilities and barriers for continued self-determination in cognitively affected older people.
