Short description

Urban development is a complex process with many different actors, interests and goal conflicts. The municipality with its political government, administrations and companies is able to influence the development towards a more cohesive and equal city through the distribution of municipal services, investments, planning of the land’s use, land holdings and public housing holdings but the responsibility is also shared with other private actors. The purpose of this project is to analyze the how civil servants translate political goals of equality and decreased social polarization into practice during 2009-2019 and what kind of problems they run into.
