Information security in practice
Research project
Active research
Short description
Previous research shows that there is strong support for whistleblowing and freedom of communication in Sweden. At the same time, the attitude towards whistleblowing outside the organization (i.e. the exercise of freedom of communication) is largely negative, and the attitude to integrate whistleblowing as part of organizations' information security work is ambivalent.
The purpose of this study is to investigate how whistleblowing is perceived within different organizations and how balances are made between information security, transparency and personal integrity in the creation of information security cultures. Furthermore, the study will analyze the design of actual whistleblowing functions.
