Short description

The project is a research-driven restoration of an early Medieval tithe barn. The restoration is used instrumentally as a method to explore medieval building construction and craftsmanship, but also to develop and test participatory methods in the heritage processes. The project was awarded Europa Nostras Conservation Prize and the jury highlighted the focus on the knowledge transfer of traditional craftsmanship as well as the fostering of a sense of ownership among the local community.
