Integrated cross curriculum education about food and nutrition for student´s development, learning and health

Short description

The aim is to co-design together with primary school staff members, integrated cross curriculum educational approaches about food and nutrition, that will be evaluate in regard to the impact on students’ learnings and actions regarding sustainable food habits.

Together with staff members at Fridaskolan Göteborg, co-design methods will be used to develop forms of integrated cross curriculum education about food and nutrition. During a 5-month period, 2-hour co designing sessions with relevant school staff members will be conducted. The emerging ideas will be tested in lessons and classroom activities on 9-11-year old students. Sessions will be video-recorded in order to document the emerged integrated education and pedagogies about food and nutrition. Web-questionnaires about food education/ knowledge/habits as well as digital stories and intake of school lunches will be collected before and after 9 months of implementation.
