National platform for forensic psychiatric research in Sweden (PlattFORm)

Swedish forensic psychiatry has been criticized of lack of evidence-based practice and collaboration in research. A national platform, gathering representatives from Swedish forensic psychiatry, is needed to enable high-quality research. PlattFORm aims to establish a nationwide research platform with a broad representation of forensic psychiatric assessment and treatment units and researchers in Sweden. Through PlattFORm, knowledge dispersion and collaborations in research and development (including recruitment of participants) can be facilitated.
