Older people's experiences of new ways to shop for food during Covid-19: Lessons for the future
Research project
Short description
In Sweden, older people (70+) have been advised since mid-March 2020 to limit their physical contact with other people to avoid being infected by Covid-19.
This project aims to provide in-depth insights and knowledge on how food provision has worked for older people during the Pandemic and how the system can be secured and improved. Based on practice theories, the project will analyse how older consumers organise their food purchases and develop strategies to secure their food supply since mid-March 2020. The main target group is a broad group of older consumers, but the project will also include other stakeholders, mainly representatives from shops but also care professionals.
