Short description

Understanding the political economy implications of high energy prices is crucial for effective climate change mitigation policymaking. This project examines the influence of electricity prices on key beliefs about carbon taxation, which subsequently affect support for carbon taxes. The study utilizes the Swedish electricity zone system, where similar households recently have experienced different electricity prices, to identify the causal impact of these prices on policy beliefs and attitudes.
