Sociology and psychology of science
Research project
Inactive research
Short description
By combing insights from critical theory, cognitive psychology and STS, this eclectic research project re-examines the production of knowledge within academia using a new syntax and a new argumentative narrative with the ambition to change the way that thinking is apprehended and acted upon. With a focus on performativity, constitution and implications of concepts governed by various subject positions and psychosocial factors, this project captures a number of cases from human geography, tourism studies and public administration. The knowledge is then synthesized to arrive at meta-analyses of scientific knowledge production and the purpose of research institutions.
