Structured violence risk management in forensic psychiatry (FORM)

FORM aims to evaluate a new method for structured violence risk management in forensic psychiatry. The method entails patients and staff collaborating in designing an individual violence risk management plan, aiming to decrease the risk of future violence. Quantitative evaluation of the method will be performed through file reviews collecting data on treatment interventions, violence risk management, and violent incidents for “cases” (patients participating in structured violence risk management) and “controls” (patients undergoing violence risk assessments, but not structured violence risk management). Qualitative evaluations will be performed through interviews on perceived user involvement in violence prevention with patients and staff.
