Supply-Side Strategies for Dealing with Digital Disruption
Research project
Inactive research
Short description
The digital economy is characterized by constant disruptions, that is, events that redefine markets and create new patterns of demand. Often, such disruptions can be explained by consumers starting to use digital technology in new, unexpected ways. Sometimes, however, disruptions occur within the companies when new technology challenges established processes. This project highlights that established companies are often organized in a way that makes it difficult to exploit the full potential of digital resources, such as algorithms, data, or sensors.
