Short description

The study includes both quantitative and qualitative data collection and is conducted in collaboration with representatives from the target group and professionals from the police, social services, and healthcare.

Translating and Testing an English Questionnaire in Sweden

The research project "Victims of Crime with Intellectual Disabilities: Identifying the Target Group and Improving Treatment Using the LDSQ Method" is funded by the Crime Victim Fund.

The Learning Disability Screening Questionnaire (LDSQ) has been developed and tested in England. The project will now translate the questionnaire and test it within the healthcare, social services, and police sectors in Sweden. Researchers will then make any necessary adjustments to fit the Swedish context.

Purpose and Goals

The project aims to support professionals in better identifying individuals with intellectual disabilities who are victims of violence.

The goal of the project is to translate, adapt, and test the questionnaire in Sweden. This will help professionals within the police, social services, and healthcare sectors to identify individuals with intellectual disabilities who are victims of violence.
