What does the weaving space create?

My creative practice exists between the fields of craft and design. I create physical spaces for hand-weaving, using craft as a catalyst for physical, social and creative interaction. The aim of my PhD project is to examine, through artistic practice-based research, the place and space for the practice of hand-weaving on a free-time level in the Nordic countries today. What motivates people to weave? How can more interest in hand weaving be generated? And how can hand-weaving take place in urban Nordic environments today?
