Seminars and Conferences
The Segerstedt Institute is an active organiser of conferences and seminars. These occasions are not only important in relation to the institute’s mission to present new research findings and discuss them, but also constitute occasions where new networks can be formed.
Seminar Series
The Segerstedt Institute’s seminar series is an arena for discussing and disseminating current research and knowledge that concerns preventive work against violent ideologies and structures as well as racist organisations. The seminars are aimed at both academics and the interested public, and Swedish and foreign researchers are invited to talk about their research.
Previous Seminars
Within the framework of the Segerstedt Institute’s seminar series, Magnus Ranstorp gave a guest lecture on the theme ‘Salafist jihadism in the Nordic countries’ on 16 December 2019. The seminar included a detailed overview of how extreme environments have developed in Scandinavian countries. There was great interest in the seminars. Over 300 in the audience and many via the live broadcast chose to follow the seminar.
