Eligibility and application process Master's Programme in Sociology

Entry requirements

Applicants to the Programme must hold a Bachelor´s degree within the Social Sciences or equivalent, corresponding to at least 180 credits. Those applying must also prove their knowledge of English: English 6/English B from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
 

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on a combined assessment of your documented academic and professional merits, your submitted Letter of Intent and your CV.

Upload your completed Letter of Intent and CV on to universityadmissions.se or www.antagning.se no later than 22nd April.

Application

The Master´s Programme in Sociology starts every autumn semester.

All documents must be submitted according to the instructions at www.universityadmissions.se and/or www.antagning.se.

Please do not forget to submit your Letter of Intent.

All questions concerning the technical part of your application will be answered by the University Admissions. 

All questions regarding admission will be answered by the Admission Office at the University of Gothenburg.
