African Languages master's essay, Independent project
About
The course consists of an independent research project within the field of African languages, preferably a field study, leading to the writing of a scientific paper. You choose the topic in consultation with the supervisor. The essay is defended at a public seminar. In order to complete the degree, you are also expected to serve as 'opponent' for the final essay of another degree candidate.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
The requirement for admission to the course is a Pass grade on the course AF2203 (Method and field work) or the equivalent. An additional requirement is language ability corresponding to English 6.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 285 credits
