Campus Johanneberg
Campus Johanneberg can be described as a city campus closely connected to the central parts of the city. This is where University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology meet on the same campus, and you become part of one of Sweden's leading academic environments.
If you study physics, mathematics or computer science, you will above all spend your study time here. The collaboration between the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology is extensive in both teaching and research, and you will meet both teachers and students from Chalmers during your time at the University of Gothenburg.
Premises at Campus Johanneberg
The Physics Building and the Mathematics Building are all located in close range from each other at Campus Johanneberg. The buildings have modern lecture halls, well-equipped course laboratories and plenty of student spaces where you can sit and study. Wireless networks are available throughout the whole buildings.
Laplace is the mathematics students' own lunch and living room.
The Hilber room is the physics students' haunt. The room, which has recently been redecorated, is located in the research building and is shared with the Chalmers students.
The programmes in computer science and data science have their lecture halls and student areas in the EDIT-building. There you find “Monaden” which is the programme students’ own premise. The rest of the student areas are shared with the students at Chalmers. In "Monaden" , students in computer science have access to kitchens and seating of various kinds. "Monaden" is located in the courtyard at Rännvägen 6.

Student offices
The Mathematics Student office is located just inside the main entrance on Chalmers Tvärgata 3.
The student office for Physics is located on level 1 in Soliden. Entrance from Fysikgården 2 or Kemigården 1 (then take the lift to floor 4 and follow the blue arrow).
The student office and study counsellor for the computer science programmes are found on 4th floor in the EDIT-building, entrance from Maskingränd 2. Opening hours.
Public transport
You can easily and quickly reach Campus Johanneberg by tram or by bus from all the different parts of Gothenburg. The nearest bus and tram stops are Chalmers and Kapellplatsen, and bus stop Chalmers Tvärgata.
