Gender and Sexuality in Religious Studies
About
Within religious traditions, rules regarding sexuality, family life and
sexual acts have played different roles. The course addresses the
interplay between religion, gender and sexuality from historical and
contemporary perspectives and illustrates how gender, sex, ethnicity,
age, sexuality and class can interact in the creation of asymmetric
power relationships within the world of religion.
Prerequisites and selection
Entry requirements
Bachelors degree or University studies equal to a Bachelors degree, including an approved Bachelor thesis of at least 15 credits. Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 5/English A from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
Selection
Selection is based upon the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits.
