Summary

This course is a continuation of Interpretation for Orchestra Instrument/Piano/Organ, In-depth Studies 1. It gives you an opportunity to further develop your ability as an orchestra musician, pianist or organist and to problematise different stylistic characteristics.

About

The course includes instrumental studies and chamber music in which you can delve deeper in your artistic work with the repertoire of the course. You will progress from identifying and utilising stylistic characteristics in the repertoire to problematising them and your artistic choices. In this course, as in its predecessor, those who play an orchestra instrument will get to take part in joint productions with students in the graduate programme for symphonic orchestra performance and in instrument-specific ensembles.

Please note!

Choose the right course within the 'Interpretation for Orchestra Instrument/Piano/Organ' series and avoid applying for a course you already have been enrolled on. Also check that you meet the entry requirements.

Prerequisites and selection

Selection

The selection is based on submitted digital video recordings, containing 3 music pieces of your own choice from different music eras. The material must be submitted via SlideRoom Technologies Inc., no later than the last application date. Ranking takes into account the assessed level of instrument-, artistic- and musical skills. The quality of the submitted recordings must represent your material justly.

Submit your recordings via SlideRoom

NOTE! Only work samples submitted to the SlideRoom web system are accepted. Make sure to submit your material well in advance to avoid technical problems. The responsibility to submit the material in time lies entirely on you as an applicant.
