Interview with Alexandra Chirkova
Alexandra Chirkova is a former Master in Communication student and graduate from Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics with a specialization in marketing.
Why did you choose to study in Sweden, at the University of Gothenburg and Master in Communication?
– In Sweden you have a great opportunity to take a master programme in English. Another advantage with the education is that it is performed in international groups, something I suppose is a good complement and platform for developing communicational skills in practice. The University of Gothenburg is one of the major universities in Sweden and also well-known in Europe.
I have learned how to effectively interact with different people from different countries and cultures
– Studies, life and work experience has proved to me that communication is an essential part of life for everyone and for me as a marketer especially. Studying communication helps to advance the interaction with people in both everyday activities and professional operations. The master programme in communication covers all these fields. I chose Master in Communication to understand this interesting process better and improve my communication skills.
What do you think of the programme?
– Naturally, there were academic studies – many theories, articles, methods, presentations, assignments and exams. But everything is interesting and lifelike, all academic material you can observe in life right after lecture.
Then, and to my mind a more important part, this programme gave me lots of experience mostly because of its international character and organization of the educational process. I have learned how to effectively interact with different people from different countries and cultures, how to construct an efficient working process and achieve good results.
What are you doing today?
– After graduation I came back home and continue working in the field of marketing with new knowledge.
